About the Program

Delhi Government aims at providing complete education support to the students of minority categories. Education has been the prime priority of the Delhi government, therefore; they are providing various schemes and scholarships to students in various categories.

Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/Minority Students (Class 1 to 12), Delhi 2021

 

 

Keeping education as the topmost priority, Department for the welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Delhi Government has launched Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/Minority students (Class 1st to 12th), Delhi 2021. The scholarship is open for all the minority category students of government/public schools in Delhi. 

 

This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to academically brilliant students of minority categories. All the selected students will receive up to INR 4,500 annually. 

 

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship:

 

  • The student should be a resident of Delhi. 
  • The student should fall in the category of SC/ST/OBC/Minority. 
  • The student’s family income should be equal to or less than INR 2 Lakhs.
  • The student must be studying in Class 1 to Class 12. 
  • The student should not be receiving any other scholarship.

  • Aadhar Card
  • Residence Proof
  • Caste-Certificate (for self-declaration of Minority)
  • Student’s Bank details
  • Income Certificate 
  • Mark Sheet of the previous class
  • Fee structure
  • Fee receipt 
  • A verification letter will be required for out of Delhi applicants.
  • Selection Process:  
  • Students fulfilling the above-mentioned eligibility criteria will be awarded the scholarship based on the academic performance. 

 

Application Process: 

 

  • Open e-district portal on the web-browser.
  • Register as a new user and create a login ID and Password. 
  • Fill the form and provide all the required details and documents as per the instructions mentioned on the website. 
  • Submit the Application. 

 

Terms and Conditions: 

 

  • If required, a declaration by the parent has to be submitted stating that his child belongs to the minority category. The declaration should be submitted in the prescribed format only. 
  • The student should not be a holder of any other scholarship. 
  • If any details are found incorrect or incomplete, then the applicant will be the sole responsible for this mistake.
